Axle is seeking a highly ambitious, adaptable, structured, and detail oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our vibrant team at Bethesda, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the full recruiting life cycle for all open positions both internally and externally
- Identify highly qualified candidates to fill scientific positions
- Assist to recruit for technical positions as needed
- Work with Program Managers to devise a recruiting plan and create a detailed position description
- Creatively source active and passive, high-quality talent; develop creative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill positions, including direct sourcing and internet recruitment, leveraging industry networks; continue to build a talent pipeline
- Negotiate and close talent with offers and starts
- Document and report in Axle’s applicant tracking system
- Become a credible and trusted talent advisor to hiring managers.
- Screening and vetting of candidates telephonically
- Create strong relationships within the scientific community within and outside NIH.
- Assist in responding to proposals by identifying the right profiles and building a pipeline of vetted resources
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of technical or scientific recruiting experience or government contracting recruiting experience
- Familiarity with NIH. Work experience at NIH is strongly preferred.
- Team player who is driven to exceed goals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to fully recruit once a job description is received with minimal supervision and direction
